Responsibilities
- Utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed department, organizational, and industry standards.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality.
- Prepares patients for procedures, educates them, and responds to questions or concerns using professional knowledge.
- Ensures age-appropriate communication, safety needs, patient education, and principles of physical/functional growth and development.
- Demonstrates understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, MRI safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques.
- Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their training.
Requirements
- Graduate of an MRI Educational Program.
- Must obtain one of the following within 1 year of hire: ARRT-MR or AMRIT.
