MRI Technologist - Casual

Casual MRI Technologist position at Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. Work as needed by the department with day, evening, night, and weekend shifts available. Must work a minimum of 1 shift per month and 1–2 holidays per year. Shift differentials apply: an additional $6.00/hour for shifts primarily between 3pm–11pm, and $8.00/hour for shifts primarily between 11pm–7am, on top of base rate and other differentials.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient care and ensures patient safety and emergency preparedness.
• Performs MRI examinations and identifies relevant data from images accurately.
• Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate healthcare professional.
• Documents patient information and ensures proper film identification on all images.
• Accurately completes computer functions: edits, status changes, logging.
• Ensures accurate film marking and jacket preparation.
• Achieves quality diagnostic images through proper patient positioning and correct operation of equipment.
• Performs training and education duties, including orienting new employees and training students and healthcare professionals.
• Maintains and correctly operates equipment, optimizing its use.
• Understands the structure visualized and its significance.

Requirements

• ARRT Certification.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Ability to meet MRI Safety Screen requirements.
• MRI Certification within 1.5 years of hire.
