MRI Technologist

About the role

The successful candidate will work under the administrative direction of the Director / Operations Supervisor and the clinical direction of the Radiologist / Team Leader to independently perform MRI imaging procedures with minimum supervision. The position may require flexibility to cross-train in other Diagnostic Imaging modalities based on departmental staffing needs.

Requirements

  • Advanced MRI Certification is required
  • Two months to become accountable for independent imaging requirements
  • Certified MRI technologist proficient and able to work independently as well as cover responsibilities associated with on-call imaging within six weeks of hire

Skills and Competencies

On-the-job training will be performed under the supervision of a radiologist. Employees who are cross-trained in more than one DI modality are responsible for all aspects of the job descriptions in each separate modality. Competencies in each modality must be kept at adequate levels of performance for each area, and necessary documentation, including certification renewals, must take place on a yearly basis.
