MRI Technologist

About the role

This full-time, on-site MRI Technologist role is based at UT Medical in Knoxville, TN.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations
• Follow established protocols and safety standards
• Accurately diagnose and support patient care
• Prepare and position patients
• Operate MRI equipment
• Absess image quality
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain detailed documentation
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control guidelines
• Support patient education by explaining procedures and answering questions

Qualifications

• Possess credentials and certification such as American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) related to MRI or Radiologic Technology
• Expertise in Medical Imaging, including MRI techniques, image acquisition, and quality assurance
• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in a hospital or clinical imaging setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Attention to detail
• Comfort with electronic health records and imaging software
• The capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
• Two years experience in MRI preferred
