Schedule

• Saturday: 7:00am – 7:30pm
• Sunday: 7:00am – 7:30pm
• Monday: 10:00am – 10:30pm
• 36 paid hours for 40 worked (can be flexible)

Responsibilities

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times, including those issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure the patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scans in accordance with the center’s protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to the patient’s exam.
• Record patient data in the Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and/or films/CD to the Radiologist upon completion of the exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
• Contrast administration.
• Some inpatient locations may require participation in a call schedule/rotation.

Requirements

• Prior MRI scanning experience.
• MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications (ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations).
• Fantastic interpersonal skills.
• Ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds (with or without accommodation).

Pay

Pay range for this position is $40–$60/hour + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
