About the role
RAYUS Radiology is challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, you will operate assigned scanner(s) to produce diagnostic images of patients' bodies, providing MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a full-time position working evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Screen patients before exams for precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
- Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, positioning them appropriately for scanning.
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body parts for physician diagnosis and treatment, with minimal supervision or repeated scans, while providing patient support throughout the procedure.
- Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed and follow physicians' orders precisely.
- Conform to safety regulations and accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area, including sanitized equipment, to promote safety for patients and team members.
- Maintain equipment in good working order; clean and disinfect after each use.
- Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Assist with updating the imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
- Assist in training new team members, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
- Complete other assigned tasks.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
- ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on state regulations and business need.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
Qualifications
- Certification in imaging specialty (preferred).
- Bilingual (preferred).
Pay
The pay range for this position is $30.86 - $48.23 per hour, based on direct and relevant experience.
