MRI Technologist

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, serving our practice locations in the Metro Quad Cities area (Illinois and Iowa).

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused MRI Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will explain MRI procedures, perform MRI scans while ensuring patient comfort, and generate high-quality diagnostic images. You will also maintain and report any issues with MRI equipment, review reports for accuracy, assist X-ray technologists and providers with arthrogram injections, and perform IV contrast injections when necessary. You will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care, supporting medical professionals, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Explain MRI procedures to patients
• Perform MRI scans while ensuring patient comfort
• Generate high-quality diagnostic images
• Maintain and report any issues with MRI equipment
• Review reports for accuracy
• Assist X-ray technologists and providers with arthrogram injections
• Perform IV contrast injections when necessary to enhance imaging results
• Provide high-level care and maintain patient confidentiality
• Comply with all HIPAA rules and regulations
• Support medical professionals in various aspects of patient management and administrative tasks

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in radiography
• ARRT (R) or equivalent certification, including ARMRIT
• MR certification (through ARRT) preferred
• At least one year of MRI experience preferred
• Strong understanding of customer service principles
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately
• Flexibility to work at any of ORA's Imaging Center locations in Bettendorf, Davenport, Moline, or Silvis as needed

Pay

The pay range for this position reflects the range for all positions classified in this job grade. Individual pay will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and alignment with company benchmarks. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
