MRI Technologist
Job Summary
The MRI Technologist at Menorah Medical Center performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems, and blood flow studies. They present images and patient information/history to the Radiologist to ensure a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to the referring physician.
What you will do in this role
- Compassionately assist and position patients
- Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary
- Absess image quality and make adjustments when necessary
- Release patients with proper post procedure instructions
- Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology
- Current registration/licensure/certification in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography required and current certification in MRI preferred
- If not currently registered in MRI, must become MRI registered within six months of hire date
- BLS required upon hire
- Prior experience in a similar sized facility with similar services preferred
- On Call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within one hour of call back
