MRI Technologist

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
• Select appropriate technical parameters for each scan
• Perform pre-screening and patient education
• Enter and monitor patient data
• Administer contrast media within scope of practice
• Ensure high-quality images are submitted promptly
• Maintain MRI equipment functionality
• Uphold a clean and safe environment
• Ensure accurate imaging and patient safety
• Maintain departmental cleanliness
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed

Requirements

• Completion of an MRI or Radiology Technology program
• MRI credential from ARMRIT or ARRT within 12 months of hire
• BLS certification
• Ability to perform constant standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and data entry
• Proficiency in identifying colors
• Effective communication skills
• No prior experience required
