About the role
Responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians, performing routine procedures according to established standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and adjust MRI equipment, instruct patients, and administer IV contrast media when needed.
- Perform MRI procedures accurately and efficiently, managing daily schedules and assessing exam completion.
- Assist with staff and student training, and contribute to MRI classes and training sessions.
- Maintain records and reports required by departments, accreditation agencies, and legal standards.
- Provide detailed reports to management and consult with radiologists and physicians on exam specifics and protocols.
- Monitor patient condition during contrast injections and research lab data results.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a recognized radiologic technology program.
- ARRT certification in Radiography and MRI upon hire.
- Thorough knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices, and anatomy.
- Strong communication skills, visual acuity, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to follow safety standards and legal guidelines (CMS, OSHA, Joint Commission).
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of MRI training/experience.
