MRI Technologist
About the Role
We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients, performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. This is a full-time opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment.
- Obtain high-quality MR images, ensuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation.
- Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare, and administer the appropriate contrast material.
- Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety while utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated.
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to the exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist.
- Check the operation of the equipment and maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.
- Keep room(s) stocked with necessary supplies.
- Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of a 2-year Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school.
- 1-3 years of previous MRI Technologist experience.
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
- Valid ARRT (R) + ARRT (MR) credentials.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer, and clerical skills.
- Must be able to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
