Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives for the department.
• Maintain a safe, clean and economical operation.
• Cover scheduling, networking, informatics and patient information.
• Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation, contact service if necessary.
• Provide copies of imaging studies in a timely manner.
• Perform routine imaging, emergent, invasive and all special procedures according to the policy/protocol manual and written orders.
• Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule.
• Orient new personnel and assist in their transition to the work environment as assigned.
• Aid other associates in the department upon completion of duties or as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT) or The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing OR Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (ARDMS and NMTCB are primary pathways)
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) must be obtained within 12 months of hire/transfer
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulatories

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT) or The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing OR Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (ARDMS and NMTCB are primary pathways)
• Preferred qualifications: Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting
• Physical Requirements: Requires sitting at a workstation or desk; requires standing; work may include occasional pushing and/or pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

• Ability to work at a fast pace and to prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests and to work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team;
• Ability to ensure operational efficiency;
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions;
• Ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers.
