About the Role
Perform diagnostic MRI procedures in an acute hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Review patient history and physician's orders
- Educate patients on MRI procedures
- Prepare and administer contrast media
- Monitor patient condition during scans
- Select appropriate imaging parameters and position patients
- Analyze image quality and ensure accurate documentation
- Coordinate MRI exams to maintain workflow
- Assist with department management
- Screen patients for MRI contraindications
- Identify MRI-compatible items
- Ensure quality and continuity of patient care
- Handle equipment setup and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Associate's Degree
- ARRT certification with additional Mammography certification
- BLS certification
Skills
- Critical thinking and decisive judgment
- Ability to work independently in stressful environments
- Strong communication and patient care skills
