About the Role
Provides quality Cat Scan/MRI exams for interpretation by the Radiologist. Maintains and applies current Cat Scan/MRI standards and clinical competency, including age competency. Applies critical thinking skills in conjunction with facility policies and procedures to prioritize and problem solve. Ensures quality patient care, contrast media administration, quality control, patient documentation, and record maintenance. Meets the personal and practical needs of patients and families. Continues self-development, provides leadership, and actively participates in performance improvement activities. Educates others as needed.
- Must have the ability to express ideas verbally to others accurately, respectfully, loudly, and quickly.
- Visual acuity to analyze data and figures, including items seen on computer terminals and written pages.
- Considers age and physical status of patients to determine staffing requirements and to plan and deliver patient care in imaging areas.
- Participates in in-services and meetings.
- Direct caregiver who monitors quality of care and seeks opportunities for improvement.
- Participates in committees as necessary.
- Demonstrates organizational ability and sound judgment.
- Reflects HCA values and ethical/compliance principles in daily activities (Code of Conduct).
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
- ARRT-MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Certificate or Vocational School Graduate.
