Overview
Piedmont Henry Hospital Imaging Department offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art hospital featuring excellent equipment, great staff, flexible scheduling, and a great work environment. Our Imaging department has their own transporters and patient lift equipment to help move patients for imaging exams. We have 8, 10, and 12 hour shifts as well as weekend option pay. Our department includes X-ray Techs, CT Techs, MRI Techs, Ultrasound Techs, Mammography Techs, Interventional Radiology Techs, OR X-ray Techs, Unit Secretaries, Transporters, RNs, PAs, and Radiologists.
We are a 259-bed hospital, a level III trauma center, a level III neonatal intensive care unit and stroke certified. Our Emergency room sees about 100,000 patients a year.
Our Imaging department consists of the following:
- X-ray: 3 Routine Rooms & 2 Fluoro Rooms (86,000 exams per year)
- CT: 4 CT Siemens rooms (72,000 exams per year)
- MRI: 2 MRI units (1.5T Siemens & 3T GE) (10,000 exams per year)
- Ultrasound: 3 Siemens Rooms (21,000 exams per year)
- Breast Health Center: 4 Hologic Diag/Screening Rooms & 1 DEXA (23,000 per year)
- IR: 1 GE Room (2,500 exams per year)
- Outpatient Diagnostic Center: CT, MRI, Mammography & X-ray (11,000 exams per year)
- Surgery (OR): 5 GE OEC C-Arms
- CSU: Pre and Post unit for patients receiving moderate sedation
Responsibilities
- Utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease
- Perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist
- Provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program
- Work Experience: No experience required
- Licenses and Certifications:
- (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) Upon Hire Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
