MRI Tech - MRI

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams in a timely manner while maintaining MRI safety protocols.
• Interact positively with multiple patient populations and serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
• Flexibility is essential, as the position may require on-call availability and holiday coverage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Graduate from ARRT accredited MRI educational program OR Graduate from ARMRIT accredited MRI education program
• Required Licenses: ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (Preferred) OR ARRT in one of these Radiography (R)/Nuclear Medicine (N)/Radiation Therapy (T)/ Sonography (S) required and get ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire date
• Current BLS Required
• Required Skills: Proficient in operating an MRI scanner and adjusting imaging parameters, Well-versed and compliant in MRI safety and understands research workflow for MRI safety requirements, Patient positioning & comfort while ensuring patient safety, Emergency response, Attention to detail, Critical thinking and problem-solving, Time management, Empathy and patient care, The ability to work independently and work well with team members.
• Essential Functions: Perform MRI Examinations, Ensure Patient Safety and Comfort, Administration of Contrast Media, Maintain MRI Equipment and Safety Standards, Collaboration with multi-disciplinary health care team, Document and Manage Patient Information, Research of Implantable Devices for MRI Compatibility, Adhere to Compliance and Regulatory Standards, Assist with Workflow and Operational Efficiency

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: shift is thursday-Saturday 7a-730p at Soin Medical Center, holiday and call rotation as needed by the department may float to KH Greene Memorial if needed by the department.
