MRI Radiographer

This is a fixed-term contract position for 12 months, full-time (80 hours per fortnight + monthly ADO), located at The Alfred - Alfred Radiology.

About the Department

The Alfred Hospital’s Radiology Department is one of Melbourne’s leading tertiary teaching and trauma hospitals. The department values education and professional development and utilizes modern technologies across all modalities to image challenging patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide the best possible radiographic examination ensuring patient comfort, welfare, and safety in accordance with established radiographic practice, ethics, and code of conduct.
• Rotate through all aspects of the department's MRI service to gain broad experience.
• Perform shift and on-call work as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiations or equivalent.
• Eligibility for A.S.M.I.R.T. Statement of Compliance.
• A.S.M.I.R.T. Level One MRI Accreditation or equivalent.
• National Registration with AHPRA to practice as a Medical Imaging Technologist.
• Victorian Department of Health Use Licence.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with registration requirements.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• 12 months of experience working in MRI.
• Experience working in a tertiary health service would be advantageous.
