The Land and Air Defense (LADS) team at Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated finance professional to join the Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) Product Area as Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Analyst (P2). The flagship product within the MRAD portfolio is the NASAMS system, built in partnership with KONGSBERG. The system includes a Raytheon-built Sentinel Radar, a KONGSBERG Fire Distribution Center, and a Launcher that uses both KONGSBERG and Raytheon components. NASAMS customers represent 15 countries around the world, and the long-range financial plan contains multiple domestic and international capture opportunities.
This position, which will report directly to the MRAD FP&A Manager, offers a tremendous growth opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven finance professional. The successful candidate will collaborate across the MRAD Finance Team, Program Office, Integrated Product Teams, and Functional leaders on the development and analysis of long- and short-range financial plans, monthly forecasts, capital and new business investment, inventory, overhead, and staffing resources. In this fast-paced environment, the selected candidate must deliver results under demanding deadlines, excel at multitasking, be an effective and influential communicator, and bring innovative ideas to solve complex challenges.
This role is hybrid (onsite & remote) and can be located in Andover, MA; Tucson, AZ; McKinney, TX; or Huntsville, AL. Relocation assistance is not provided. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of Long Range and Annual Operating Plans that align with product area strategy and investment plans to project accurate future financial results.
- Update and analyze monthly current-year financial forecasts for programs to inform product area leadership of status against plan.
- Incorporate projected inventory liquidations into monthly forecasts and work with the Launcher and Sentinel Radar workload integration teams to track and understand updates to that plan and how it impacts the financials.
- Work with programs to ensure billing deadlines are met and monitor and support updates for cash receipts critical to the business.
- Track the status of annual overhead budgets to support indirect activities required for product area execution.
- Support business case development for investment requests related to inventory and build inventory impacts into financial plans and forecasts.
What You Will Learn
- Execution of financial planning for a large and complex product area spanning various products, customers, and program teams.
- How to build business cases for and capture company investments such as Inventory, Capital, and Overhead.
- How to understand accounting and financial impacts related to inventory.
- How unique contract circumstances such as Undefinitized Contract Actions (UCAs) and joint ventures (R2S) impact financial metrics.
- How various cash collection methods such as Progress Payments and Performance-Based Payment need to be modeled in a financial plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field and 2 years of finance experience; OR an Advanced degree in a related field.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Self-starter with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
- Strong presentation, communication, and professional skills, with the ability to work independently and with some supervision.
- Experience with Estimate at Completes (EACs) and the EDIT+ EAC tool.
- Experience with accounting policies and processes (contract close-out, Estimate At Completes, Bookings, Sales, Profit, Cash, etc.).
- Proven experience interfacing and working collaboratively with various functional disciplines (Engineering, Supply Chain, Contracts, Operations, etc.) in a cross-matrix organization.
- Proficiency with tools such as SAP (APEX/PRISM), RPlan, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office apps.
Pay
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The range provided is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
