About the role

As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, you will operate assigned scanner(s) to produce diagnostic images of patients' bodies. You will provide MRI services with a patient-centered approach, adhering to professional standards and delivering excellent customer service.

Schedule

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 12:30pm - 9:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Screen patients before exams for precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure accuracy.
  • Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, positioning them appropriately for scanning.
  • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body parts for physician diagnosis and treatment, with minimal supervision or repeated scans.
  • Provide patient support by communicating throughout the procedure.
  • Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed and follow physicians' orders precisely.
  • Conform to safety regulations and maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, including sanitized equipment, to promote safety for patients and team members.
  • Keep equipment in good working order; clean and disinfect after each use.
  • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  • Assist with updating the imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
  • Train new team members, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
  • Complete other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.

Qualifications

  • Certification in imaging specialty (preferred).
  • Bilingual (preferred).
