About the role
RAYUS Radiology is challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Join our team as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist and help us deliver clinical excellence in communities across the U.S. This is a part-time position working Tuesday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Patient MRI Imaging (90%)
- Screen patients before exams for precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
- Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, positioning them appropriately for scanning.
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body parts for physician diagnosis and treatment, with minimal supervision or repeated scans.
- Provide patient support by talking to them throughout the procedure.
- Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely, adhere to safety regulations, and maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area, including sanitized equipment, to promote safety for patients and team members.
- Maintain equipment in good working order; clean and disinfect after each use.
- Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- MRI Department Support (5%)
- Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
- Assist in training new team members by providing resource and technical expertise.
- Complete other tasks as assigned (5%).
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
- ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Bilingual.
- Preferred: Certification in imaging specialty.
