MR/CT Technologist

Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI & CT Technologist to join their team. Located at their Bridgeton, MO center, this is a per-diem position generally working Saturdays from 7:30am-12:30pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Imaging screens patients before exams for precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
• Prepares patients for scanning procedures, explaining the process and positioning them appropriately
• Performs routine and advanced scanning procedures on designated body parts, following physician orders and providing patient support
• Adjusts scan parameters and uses dose reduction techniques as needed
• Maintains a positive attitude and professional relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates
• Accurately maintains patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area, promoting safety
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
• Maintains equipment in good working order and cleans/disinfects after each use
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA guidelines

Scanning Department Support

• Maintains an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise

Requirements

• ARRT Registered Technologist, current and in good standing
• Graduate of AMA-approved school of radiography
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state (if applicable)
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Sufficient training and experience to perform scanning procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty preferred
• Bilingual skills preferred
