MPI Sales Planner Expeditor
Position Summary
The Sales Planner Expeditor plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team by coordinating and expediting sales orders, ensuring timely delivery, and optimizing workflow processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments, including sales, logistics, and procurement.
This position ensures timely entry of vendor purchase orders, monitors order status, identifies potential delays, and communicates order updates to the commercial organization. They coordinate with production teams to ensure timely order fulfillment with authority to make necessary adjustments to achieve targets. They track inventory levels, identify potential stock shortages, collaborate with purchasing teams to ensure timely material procurement, monitor product availability, and communicate potential delays to the commercial organization. They provide accurate delivery estimates and order status updates through ERP date management, communicate customer requirements to production teams, own and make decisions for true expedites, monitor production schedules, prioritize orders, and optimize production flow. They generate reports on sales order status, delivery timelines, and inventory levels, analyze data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement, and provide insights to sales and operations teams to optimize sales planning. They grow professional relationships with various internal and external production facilities and collaborate with project management to prepare for project review meetings.
Qualifications
- Required (Basic): Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent industry experience. 2 – 3 years of experience in supply chain management, or a related field. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical skills and ability to interpret data. Knowledge of sales process and order fulfillment procedures. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Ability to travel up to 15%.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or industrial distribution. Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable. Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems. Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
