Scope Of Responsibilities

• Ensures personal safety and the safety of your team members.
• Affords assistance to supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
• Wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot, hand, head, and eye protection.
• Maintains cleanliness of the assigned work area and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Proactively promotes the McWane Way principles.
• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions and parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and components by using work instructions.
• Verifies specifications by testing products and visually inspecting quality.
• Assembles products using hand tools and other equipment.
• Resolves verifiable assembly problems to meet specifications; notifies supervisor to obtain additional resources if needed.
• Palletizes and gets product ready for shipment once complete.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing production requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience as a valve assembler or similar in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Attention to detail

Position Requirements

• Standing, walking, stooping, balancing, kneeling, reaching, and sitting are some of the physical requirements.
• Must be able to meet and adhere to physical requirements as well as wearing the appropriate PPE (steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and mask).
• Will be required to work in the following conditions: heat, cold, noise, and vibration.
• Must be able to work in dust and fumes.
• Must have the ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• May require overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.

Additional Information

• First Shift: M-F 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
• Hourly Rate: $23.81
