Mowing Crew Member

Full-time production role in the Mowing department. Work in the field with a crew under the direction of a Crew Leader.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, trimming, edging turf areas and blowing off hard surfaces/structures
• Adhere to quality and safety standards
• Learn to operate equipment and tools needed for daily tasks
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and crew mates
• Accurately record hours worked
• Winter snow/ice removal
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to be added to the company’s auto insurance policy
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Mowing experience preferred
• Ability to acquire pesticide applicator’s commercial certification within 45 days of hire
• Demonstrated ability to process and follow instructions
• Ability to work effectively with a team
• Ability to learn how to use tools and equipment meeting operational safety standards
• Regular and prompt attendance required
• Ability to work extended or alternate hours (nights and weekends) due to clients’ needs
• Must be available for extended hours during snow events, including mandatory overtime

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk and hear
• Very active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday
• Must be mobile throughout required work areas
• Frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs
• Generate up to 75 lbs of push/pull force when maneuvering equipment/supplies
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Work outside in all types of weather conditions, including occasional extreme heat exposure
• Noise level can be loud; vibration levels are moderate
