Moving Technician 2
About the role
Provides moving and logistical services at Augusta University. Working in conjunction with Environmental Services event support and warehousing operations under the Department of Environmental Services. Assists the Moving Supervisor with day-to-day moving and logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Aid the Moving Supervisor as needed to coordinate activities.
- Train all Moving Technician I staff.
- Process moving requests in a timely manner.
- Note and sign any changes in logistics documentation.
- Ensure documentation for all activity is complete, accurate, and submitted daily to the EVS Manager.
- Operate all moving motor vehicles and equipment in a safe manner.
- Report any equipment accidents or problems to the supervising authority.
- Assist with special projects such as Power Washing, Window Cleaning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization, and a minimum of one year of work experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: Materials management, warehouse, and logistical experience is beneficial.

Shift: Days: Monday - Friday
Pay Band: 2
Salary: $15.77/hourly - $16.96/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

If applicable for the specific position based on the duties: the candidate will also need to have a credit check completed for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage. Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle. For Faculty Hires: Final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation. Driver's License Statement
The Human Resources Division will request a driver's history report for the identified top candidate(s) for this position. We will initiate this through our Background Check Vendor; this report will come from the Department of Motor Vehicles. The selected candidate must have a valid driver's license.
