Moving Laborer

Responsibilities

• Load and unload household and commercial furniture safely.
• Pack, wrap, protect, and unpack customer belongings.
• Disassemble and reassemble furniture when required.
• Carry furniture and boxes up and down stairs or through elevators.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow team leader instructions and safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service while on job sites.
• Handle customer property with care to prevent damage.
• Auxiliary with warehouse and staging tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (50 lbs / 23 kg or more).
• Reliable transportation to job sites or designated meeting locations.
• Punctual, dependable, and professional.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good physical condition and willingness to perform manual labor.
• Previous Moving Experience Is Preferred But Not Required.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with customers and coworkers.

Schedule

This is an on-call, project-based position. There is no fixed schedule or guaranteed number of hours. Work assignments are offered based on customer demand, and laborers are expected to be available to accept jobs on short notice whenever possible. Work Types include Apartment Moves, House Moves, Office & Commercial Relocations, Furniture Deliveries, Loading & Unloading Services, Packing & Unpacking, and Warehouse Support. The move is from 3977 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax VA to 8713 Old Mount Vernon Rd, Alexandria Va, about 25 miles.
