Position Overview
Role: PRN, on-site patient rounding and overnight telephonic call
Patient Population: Adult Dual Diagnosis/Substance Abuse
Schedule: Weekend PRN, PRN vacation weekday coverage (minimum of 1 weekend per month)
Employment Type: PRN for weekends and vacation coverage
Daily caseload: Caseload will vary
EMR: Cerner
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for adult patients.
- Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
- Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.
Position Highlights
- Fully staffed Medical Staff Services office providing administrative support.
- Opportunity to work with residents through Georgia South Psychiatric Residency and medical students with PCOM-South Georgia campus.

Qualifications
- Education: M.D./D.O. with Board Eligibility/Certification in General Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry
- Training: Successful completion of an accredited General Psychiatry residency.
- Experience: With Substance Abuse and Dual Diagnosis populations required.
- Licensure: Georgia medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.
