About the Role
The Instructor delivers program plans and schedules provided by the agency, adjusting lesson plans to meet participants' needs and tracking their academic and social development.
Responsibilities
- Lead small group activities that are age-appropriate, engaging students in meaningful learning experiences to enhance social, physical, and academic advancement.
- Implement lesson plans and activities.
- Assist students with homework assignments as needed.
- Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of children at all times.
- Report behavioral concerns or incidents involving children to the Program Manager.
- Build relationships with parents, children, and school administration/teachers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali, or others may be required depending on client needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
- Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines, and multitask.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- CPR and First Aid training.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Demands: While performing duties, the employee may occasionally walk, sit for long periods, use hands to handle objects/tools, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk, or hear. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment with normal heating and cooling.
