Motors Engineering Technician

About the role
- Hands-on assembly or repair of electric motors and stators including redlining engineering drawings and creating build records.
- Perform testing, validation, troubleshooting, and manufacturing processes in concert with design engineers.
- Aid in editing and implementing technical documentation.
- Perform in-process quality inspection tasks, identifying and raising concerns about process deviations and being integral to troubleshooting efforts.
- Maintain logs and check sheets throughout the build process, requiring proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Develop expertise in electro-mechanical assembly of fully electric propulsion systems.
- Respect and foster a culture of safety, including working safely around high voltage.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Two-year degree or certificate from an accredited two (2) year college, university, or technical school preferred.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and schematics of mechanical and electrical components.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Ability to pivot and rapidly develop solutions to changing goals.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Understanding of how electric motors work.
- Passion for sustainability.
- Previous experience building electric motors.
- Previous Computer-Aided Design (CAD) experience – Specifically 3DX/Catia.
- Technical knowledge of electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 800 VDC.
- Experience with Stator Assembly.
- Experience with Stator electrical testing.

Benefits
- Compensation: $26 - $35 USD
- Total Compensation package includes Restricted Stock Units and Performance Stock Units.
