Motor Vehicle Operator- Transport Team Driver

About the role

This position is open exclusively to current Alfred State College students.

Responsibilities

• Transport students in a car or van;
• Drive a variety of motor vehicles both on and off New York State property in order to transport people, material, and equipment as required;
• Map routes, itineraries, and points of call;
• Move or carry cargo onto, into, off of, or out of the vehicle operated;
• Move or carry cargo from the vehicle to the delivery or storage point;
• Post manifests, inventories, and other records of goods and people transported;
• Maintain vehicle records as per College directives;
• Monitor gauges and check fluid levels and tire pressures, fill air to the tires;
• Wash vehicles;
• Inspect vehicles and note defects, notify the College of repairs needed.

Job Requirements

• Candidates must possess a New York State Driver's License;

Conditions of Employment

• Verification of a New York State Driver's License will be required at the time of interview for all candidates.
• Failure to maintain a New York State Driver's License will result in removal from employment.

Additional Information
