Motor Vehicle Deputy

Specialized regulatory, administrative, financial, and customer-facing role processing motor vehicle title and registration transactions for the Chaffee County Clerk & Recorder's Office. Ensures compliance with Colorado statutes (Title 42, C.R.S.), Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) rules, and County procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process motor vehicle title and registration transactions in compliance with state and county regulations
• Handle cash, receipting, and maintain financial accuracy
• Perform data entry and recordkeeping tasks
• Provide courteous customer service to the public

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid motor vehicle driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
• Proficiency in cash handling, receipting, and attention to detail

Pay

Hourly wage range of $22.00 to $27.00, depending on qualifications.

Schedule

Full time, non-exempt position located in Salida.
