Motor Coach Bus Dispatcher

Role Overview

As a Dispatcher at Trailways, you'll be pivotal in managing and overseeing the 24 hour-daily operations of our motorcoach fleet, ensuring the safe, orderly, and timely movement of our passengers.

Responsibilities

• Directing and communicating with a highly regulated workforce of motorcoach operators to provide timely updates and instructions.
• Scheduling and dispatching buses according to timetables and passenger requirements.
• Monitoring bus routes to address delays or emergencies.
• Maintaining accurate records of trip schedules, operator assignments, and vehicle maintenance.
• Aiding with resolving passenger inquiries and complaints.
• Coeordinating with maintenance staff to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a dispatcher, preferably in the bus or transportation industry.
• Must be available for days, nights, overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent time management and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.
• The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to work well under pressure and solve problems in real time.
• A strong work ethic and can function independently.
• The ability to pass a DOT preemployment drug screen.
