Motion Graphic Designer – Sports Arena Package

About the role

This role focuses on creating a dynamic in-arena motion graphics package for a Pittsburgh-based sports team, enhancing the live game-day experience across multiple venue displays and presentation systems. The ideal candidate will develop polished, high-energy motion assets that align with the team’s visual identity and are optimized for large-format LED displays, scoreboards, and ribbon boards. Experience in sports entertainment and live-event environments is highly valued, as the assets must remain clear and impactful at scale. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote and on-site collaboration.

Deliverables

• Design and produce a cohesive suite of motion graphics for in-venue displays, including scoreboards, ribbon boards, and large-format LEDs.
• Develop assets that support live game-day presentations, ensuring clarity and visual impact in a high-energy sports environment.
• Align all graphics with the team’s established branding and visual guidelines.
• Prepare files for seamless integration with venue presentation systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine concepts and deliver final assets on schedule.
• Provide portfolio examples of previous sports, live-event, or venue motion graphics work.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing motion graphics for sports, live events, or large-scale venues.
• Strong proficiency in After Effects, Cinema 4D, or similar motion design software.
• Demonstrated ability to create visually compelling assets that remain effective at large scale.
• Understanding of sports branding and the unique requirements of arena environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a hybrid work setting.
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant motion graphics projects.
• Availability to work both remotely and on-site as needed in Pittsburgh.
