Motion Designer
About the role
This role is a Motion Designer Hybrid based in Redmond, WA, working 3 days per week onsite. The position is full-time.
Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and polish high-quality video and motion assets for customer-facing, marketing, and social media experiences.
- Translate original files and product narratives into compelling video and motion design assets.
- Edit and refine video content to improve pacing, clarity, visual quality, and overall impact.
- Prepare video outputs for multiple formats, channels, and aspect ratios, including customer presentations, marketing campaigns, and social platforms.
- Apply strong visual design judgment across composition, timing, typography, hierarchy, pacing, and storytelling.
- Manage file organization, naming conventions, version tracking, timelines, milestones, and production deliverables.
- Collaborate with design, product, and business stakeholders to understand goals and translate feedback into effective creative execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Motion Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Film/Video Production, Digital Media, Studio Art/Fine Art, or related field.
- 2-4 years of professional motion design, video editing, or digital production experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Experience using additional creative tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Experience and background with Microsoft 365 products, including Copilot, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics, video editing, visual storytelling, and polished production execution.
- Strong understanding of motion principles, typography, pacing, composition, visual hierarchy, and brand consistency.
- Ability to manage file organization, naming conventions, version tracking, timelines, milestones, and production deliverables.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Experience creating motion or video content for technology, productivity, SaaS, or enterprise customer scenarios.
- Familiarity with accessibility considerations for video, including captions, readable text, contrast, and clear visual communication.
- Experience working in structured production environments with formal review cycles, stakeholder feedback, and delivery tracking.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.

$37-$41 per hour
