About the role
Employment Type: Full Time. Shift: Nights (7pm–7am). Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace.
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
- Provides a safe environment for patients and visitors.
- Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well‑being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
- BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current.
- NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
- Basic Fetal Monitoring certification within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
