About the Role
We are currently seeking MOT Driver/ Skilled Laborers to join our Wagman Heavy Civil, Inc. team. Reporting to direct field supervision, the MOT Driver is responsible for all project related tasks requested, including but not limited to carrying materials and heavy objects, setting up cones and signage, driving TMA trucks on sites and roadways, cleaning of job site and assisting with maintenance of traffic. This position works along with the entire Project Team to support the completion of assigned construction tasks and ensures all plans move forward to meet projected deadlines.

Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle record
- Reliable transportation
- DOT Card required; CDL A or B a plus, not required
- Experience in Heavy Highway and/or bridge construction preferred
- Familiar with paving, concrete, highway, MOT and/or bridge construction and all other highway construction scopes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Carry, load, unload and stack materials
- Lay out material and assist experienced crew members
- Dig with pick and shovel
- Assist with maintenance of traffic to include but not limited to setting out and picking up cones, assisting with lane closures, driving tma/crash trucks, flagging
- Shovel, rake, spread and vibrate concrete into place
- Climb embankments and ladders to carry material to various work sites on project as needed
- Jackhammer and saw cut concrete
- Clean up project site of debris
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds from ground level to waist level and 30 pounds to above shoulder level throughout a scheduled work shift
- Continuous standing and walking required throughout a scheduled work shift
- Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel and crawl
- Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather
- Must be able to clear DOT Physical
