About the role

Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson plans, support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development, maintain classroom documentation and records, supervise children in classroom and outdoor settings, assist with transportation by driving or monitoring buses, build positive relationships with children and families.

Requirements

  • Assistant Teacher I: High School Diploma/ GED & Child Development Associate (CDA). Six months to one year of related experience preferred
  • Assistant Teacher II: Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field preferred. Six months to one year of related experience preferred
  • EDU 119 required
  • CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings.
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be able to actively supervise young children in classroom and outdoor environments, assist children on and off the bus, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent, Child Development Associate (CDA) certification, Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field preferred, EDU 119 required, CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain, valid driver’s license required, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and ability to actively supervise young children in classroom and outdoor environments, assist children on and off the bus.

Pay

$12.50 - $15.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Monday–Friday 7am-3pm (40 hours/week)
