Mortgage Underwriter IV - TruHome Solutions

Responsibilities

• Underwrite first mortgages per the guidelines of FNMA/FHLMC/USDA, HUD, VA, and USDA guidelines.
• Perform VA Special Area Review (SAR) responsibilities and underwrite to VA guidelines.
• Train on new products and keep updated on agency guideline changes.
• Communicate effectively with the team and promote honest and open communication.
• Work with other credit union departments to ensure efficient workflow and member service.
• Perform physical activities including lifting up to 20 pounds, stooping, bending, reaching, standing, sitting, and using a computer for extended periods.

Requirements

• Mastery of FNMA/FHLMC/USDA underwriting guidelines.
• Strong FHA and VA underwriting experience.
• Experience utilizing a PC with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Effective communication skills in writing and oral communication.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts and miscommunications.
• Knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software.
• High level of confidentiality and ability to be bonded.
