Job Responsibilities
- Initiates the mortgage loan application and prepares the file for approval process by interviewing members to determine the mortgage product will meet their needs.
- Reviews documents presented, entering all pertinent information into the computer system.
- Prepares good faith estimates of closing costs and monthly payments, calculating the member’s current income and loan-to-value ratio, pulling and reviewing a credit report for any potential problems and advising the member accordingly, forwarding documents to attorneys and appraisers, printing out all documents for signature by the member, and forwarding completed mortgage loan applications for further action.
- Prepares adverse action letters to members denoting any reasons, ensures that adverse action letters are properly signed, contacts members to ascertain if they are willing to accept a counter offer, updates loan file accordingly, and sends the loan application back to the underwriter for further review.
- Conducts home equity loans closings, reviews documentation for accuracy, and explains all pertinent loan information to members.
- Ensures all loan documents are executed and returns loan documents to the closing team in a timely manner.
- Processes pre-approved loans for potential borrowers by reviewing all relevant information, e.g., credit report, and preparing monthly payments.
- Responds to requests from attorneys for missing documents.
- Verifies the collection of fees for appraisal services if missed at the time of application by reviewing the member’s account to ensure that fees have been debited.
- Performs other duties as needed upon request from immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma required
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Minimum two years mortgage experience and/or training required

Pay
The good faith range for this position is $58,000 - $62,000 annually plus commission eligibility with unlimited earning potential.
