Responsibilities

• Originate HELOCs and residential 1st mortgage loans from internal referral sources.
• Conduct initial pre-qualification interviews and prepare complete loan application packages and necessary documentation.
• Convey policies for extension of credit in accordance with Credit Union and secondary investor guidelines.
• Meet Mortgage Loan scheduling and documentation requirements, and production expectations as determined by the VP - Mortgage Loan Sales.
• Serve Members, prospective members, builders, developers, and Realtors promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be bondable upon hire

Skills

• Mortgage Lending Expertise: Ability to originate and process mortgage loans using digital systems, with knowledge of industry standards and investor guidelines.
• Customer Service & Sales: Strong service orientation with the ability to identify Member needs and present appropriate lending solutions.
• Communication & Coaching: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to coach team members and collaborate with internal departments.
• Analytical Thinking: Skilled in evaluating loan applications, identifying issues, and making sound decisions based on credit criteria and financial data.
• Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using online banking applications, loan origination software, and social media platforms for Member engagement.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a financial institution
• Experience in the mortgage or consumer loan field, utilizing technology and digital documentation

Pay

$25.95 - $26.25 per hour. Candidates with significant related experience may be offered higher compensation.

Schedule

Full-Time, working approximately 40 hours per week. Hours and shifts vary between 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday.

This position will work out of the Edina, MN Branch.

Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.
