About the role

We are currently hiring for a Mortgage Loan Processor with experience working with High Net Worth loans.

Responsibilities

  • Gather required documentation from the borrower and obtain appropriate documentation from third-party vendors consistent with internal, client, and investor policies.
  • Review the complete file and ensure the various documents in the file are in sync with each other and the loan application on the system.
  • Scan the hard copy of the loan application to the system (shared drive) so that anyone without the hard file can access all documents at any time.
  • Understand underwriting submission requirements before actual submission.
  • Order the various services required on the file and capture those requests on the systems.
  • Follow up on the status of the services ordered to ensure minimal time lag from order to receipt.
  • Upon receipt of the loan decision from the underwriter, review conditions with internal and external parties to address any additional conditions needed for final approval.
  • At final approval, coordinate with third parties and the prospective borrower to schedule the loan settlement.
  • Maintain both written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of related experience as a mortgage loan processor.
  • Experience with high net worth, non-conforming, or jumbo loans preferred.
  • Ability to calculate income and review and interpret asset statements.
  • Review, understand, and detect issues with Title and Appraisals.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent and proven mortgage skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and financial management skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and prioritize.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Open to flexible scheduling options and the ability to adapt as needed.
  • Experience with FNMA guidelines.
  • Ability to review and interpret DU findings.
