Mortgage Loan Officer II

Responsibilities

• Originate and process mortgage loan applications in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate borrower’s financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
• Provide expert guidance to clients on mortgage products, rates, and terms to help them make informed decisions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation and communication throughout the loan process.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and lending products.
• Maintain and meet individual and team production goals.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or Mortgage Lender II.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage lending products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and credit reports.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient with mortgage loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid state mortgage license or ability to obtain one.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in mortgage lending or related financial services.
