Mortgage Loan Officer 3

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Grow and maintain referral relationships with network of realtors, builders and members in association with the TDECU member base.
• Take complete and accurate loan applications into the computerized mortgage system, providing members with all required disclosures, as well as obtaining all necessary support documents.
• Pre-qualify members for the identified mortgage program/product and match them with TDECU mortgage products that best meet the member’s needs.
• Negotiate terms and conditions of loans with members in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Lock loans for members in accordance with TDECU policies and procedures.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all mortgage products and services, including forms and documentation for each type of loan.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Minimum 4+ years as a Mortgage Loan Officer with a proven track record of success. Experience with conventional, FHA, VA and jumbo mortgage products strongly preferred.
• Must qualify for NMLS licensing, be Safe Act compliant and be able to get licensed in the state in which you will be originating loans. Must have an NMLS registration number.

• Proficient at working with various software and technology applications.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

• While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to stand, walk, and sit.
• An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds to perform essential position functions.
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
