About the role
This position is primarily focused on mortgage loan funding and post-closing / shipping responsibilities while providing opportunities to learn and support the loan closing process. As Prime Lender Solutions transitions to a new loan origination system and integrated workflow over the coming months, this role will naturally expand to include both closing and funding responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Review executed loan closing packages for accuracy and completeness prior to funding.
- Verify funding conditions, wire instructions, closing figures, and required documentation.
- Authorize and release loan funding once company and investor requirements have been satisfied.
- Cook up and coordinate with title companies, escrow agents, settlement agents, and internal teams to resolve funding issues and ensure timely closings.
- Track and reconcile funding wires, funding logs, and loan-level data.
- Prepare completed loan files for post-closing shipment.
- Clear final conditions and maintain complete, audit-ready loan documentation.
- Ensure compliance with TRID, RESPA, TILA, CFPB, and investor guidelines.
- Aid with loan closing activities and gain cross-training as our operations transition to an integrated Closing & Funding workflow.
- Maintain accurate loan status updates while managing multiple files and meeting deadlines.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies to prevent funding delays.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of mortgage funding, closing, processing, or post-closing experience preferred.
- Experience with HELOCs and closed-end second mortgages is a plus.
- Working knowledge of TRID, Closing Disclosures, settlement statements, and mortgage compliance requirements.
- Experience working with title companies, escrow agents, and investors is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with mortgage loan origination and document preparation systems (such as Calyx Path, Blue Sage, DocMagic, or similar platforms) is preferred.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Eager to learn additional closing responsibilities as the role evolves.
