Mortgage Home Loan Advisor

About This Role

This position requires spending more than 80% of your time outside the office, meeting new people, and helping people finance homes.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing leads for mortgage home loans
• Meet with perspective borrowers to obtain loan applications, explain the process, fees, and available programs
• Analyze perspective borrowers' financial status by obtaining required paperwork and notifying them of credit reports and appraisals
• Submit completed applications and confer with underwriters to resolve mortgage application concerns
• Advise borrowers on underwriting decisions and work with them and underwriters to meet underwriting conditions
• Work with processors and borrowers to reconstruct loans under different programs if necessary
• Cook up loan closings, escrow signings, order loan documents, and assist borrowers in the closing process

Qualifications, Competencies And Skills

• A high school diploma or GED
• One to two years related experience and/or training
• Proficient with Windows-based software
• The ability to drive a car or obtain other reliable transportation
• Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, writing, interpreting documents and reports)
• Competent math skills
• Registered under the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) upon hire
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
