Mortgage Home Equity Manager
About the role
FORUM Credit Union is seeking a dynamic Home Equity Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Home Equity function. This role involves driving performance, improving processes, and developing a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Home Equity team to manage workflow, meet production goals, and ensure service excellence
- Analyze pipeline data to identify trends and drive operational improvements
- Oversee processing, ordering, and closing activities to ensure compliance with policies and investor guidelines
- Implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and the member experience
- Perform processing, closing, and funding functions as needed to meet turnaround expectations
- Partner with the Vice President - Mortgage Operations to support vendor management
- Aid in hiring, training, and motivating team members to achieve goals
- Provide coaching, recognition, and communication to foster strong team performance and collaboration
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized business or trade school program, along with three to five years of similar or related mortgage and leadership experience.
Qualifications
Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with credit union and investor guidelines are also required.
Skills
Excellent organizational and analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are crucial. Familiarity with home equity products and processes is beneficial.
