Mortgage Collector

Job Description

Collects payment on assigned delinquent accounts by reviewing documentation, contacting customers/clients by telephone and/or written correspondence, and arranging repayment schedules in order to minimize loss to the organization.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of experience in collections and/or customer service activities

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Some knowledge of loan collection policies and procedures, fair debt collection practices, and related laws
• Strong customer service/relations skills
• Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to organize and interpret information
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• 12 months of call center or collections experience preferred
• Mortgage experience highly preferred

Schedule and Pay

Starting pay: $20.00 per hour plus a 10% shift differential (EST & CST time zones).

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 11:15 AM – 8:15 PM EST; plus one Saturday per month, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST.

Location

This role is designated as U.S. home‑based remote. External hiring is open for candidates in Owensboro, KY; Cincinnati, OH; and Dallas, TX. Internal hiring is remote within the United States.
