Description JOB DESCRIPTION: AM Supervisor REPORTS TO: Senior Lead TIME COMMITMENT: 40 hours per week (M-F, 7 am – 2:30 pm) STATUS: Full-Time The AM shift supervisor is the person responsible for directing all the staff and students on their shift and managing all the activities on the unit. Duties And Responsibilities Assisting residential lead supervisors in interviewing and hiring mentors to their particular shiftOrienting and training new mentor hiresHolding weekly training meetings on Telos’ policies or procedure for the mentors on their shiftDisciplining and rewarding mentors on their shiftMakes assignments to staff for Q15 minute checksMakes assignments to staff to coordinate scheduled activities/appointmentsBeing trained in medication administration as per Telos’ policies and proceduresAdministers medications as ordered by the doctor in the absence of an RNExecuting the run plan as per policy and procedureDirecting staff and students in emergency situationsAccepts and transcribes verbal orders from clinical employeesPerforming searches on students upon admission, after off-campus passes, and when runaways have returnedCompleting student admissions checklist within 10 days after admissionCompleting student security information upon admissionEnforcing Telos’ security and visitation policies and proceduresObtaining a daily unit student to staff censusAttending treatment meetings weekly. If unable to attend, then assigning a member of their shift to represent themTrains mentors on various assignments in the academyAttends the weekly shift supervisor meeting and weekly training in morning supervisor correlation meetingsCommunicates and reports to AM Campus SupervisorPerforms all the responsibilities of a mentor PRN.Performs quarterly performance evaluations on mentors on their shift Requirements Qualifications: Minimum one year of experience in behavioral health related fieldsExceptional relationship skillsFlexibility and ability to handle many situations simultaneouslyAbility to maintain healthy boundaries with subordinatesExceptional organizational skills and systemsPrior Telos experience
