Morning Gym Opener

The Morning Opener will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members and guests.

Responsibilities

• Open the club on time daily, arriving at 4:45 a.m. to walk through the club and open at 5:00 a.m., working until 11:00 a.m.
• Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service by saying hello and goodbye to each member.
• Handle all front desk-related activities, including:
  • Answer phones in an upbeat, friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
  • Check in all members into the system.
  • New member sign-up.
  • Take prospective members on tours.
  • Count money in register.
• Learn and understand the computer operating system.
• Facilitate needed updates to members' accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or General Manager as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.

Requirements

• Customer service background preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability is a must.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member's expectations.
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Functions

• Must have reliable transportation to be at the facility Monday-Friday.
• Ability to work in a group or team setting.
• Face-to-face retail customer service experience preferred.
• The ability to stand/work on your feet.
• The ability to be energetic and outgoing at all times.
• The ability to handle weights of up to 50 lbs.
