Morning Courtesy Cart Attendant

About the role

As an entry‑level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. Meijer Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and know what ‘above and beyond’ customer service means.

Responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect parking lot, lawn, and inside‑store trash.
• Safely use snow‑removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work at the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
• Assist various departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product or using various equipment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay

Up to $14.50 per hour, based on experience and the Union Pay Scale.

Schedule

Days are flexible, but availability is required on the three busiest sales days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and starting at the latest 7:00 am.
